IN THE TWELFTH and THIRTEEN CENTURY
According to MELLEVILLE's dictionary:"in the twelfth century, ST Pierremont was called Petrat (Petree, stones). Robert Lord of Montaigu gave the village to the ST Denis's abbey in 1134 as compensation for its own faults. Then the village at least the seigneury became Vervins'lords land.
In 1246, Thomas de Coucy, one of Vervins's lord built on this soil at "Beheroche" or "Vervêche" place, one small abbey named " la paix Ste Marie". He located St Victor order with his own girl Elisende as abbess.
IN THE FOURTEENTH CENTURY
English troops destroyed buildingd and religious girls left the place. St Antoine chapel bell which is nowdays the smallest of St Pierremont's church, has been melted down at this age. A new monastic order (hospitable St Antoine) settled, looked after local peasants and treated diseases such as scabbies, carbuncles, "St Antoine sickness" caused by a poisonous fungus (ergot) available in rye bread. A pond, still there, supplied monastery with fishes. A miraculous fountain is the goal of processions on St Antoine's days: 17th of january and 13th of june. Those processions have been followed until 1912 according to departemental archives. At that time, St Antoine's abbey turned into a small hospital and renamed "Paix St Antoine".

IN THE EIGHTEENTH CENTURY
After monk's departure, the landlord sent an agent to collect national taxes called:"dime"and "gabelle" and to regulate salte trade. Nicolas III Sohier, Vermandois count, built three barns to store the "dime" (farmers had to bring 10% of their harvests), hay loft, clove cote's porch and the house. Those buildings remain nowadays in this shape, except for the chapel which became 2 storeyed barns.
1914-TODAY:
Deutsch's farm period: During both world wars, deutsch troops have invaded in the farm but St Antoine still belonged to lord Sohier descendant until 1977.
In 1971, Philippe VUILLIOT brought building and lands and recovered the farm.
Since 1985, buildings are protected as historical site and visits are organised upon request.

Limits raise advantages but also include limits. The farm needs to adapt common tools to fit the situation: for example buying a smaller shipper to clean building, using bundles of straw instead of balls...
All outside renovation works must to be declared four months before achievement.
There are many limits to any modernisation and to expansion as landscape must be respected and the farm must keep its traditional look.
However a project of wood's sheepfold is scheduled for 2007 in order to house 300 sheeps. The wood is finished in March 2008.
